Tofu gratin with onions

For 4 or 5 persons: 500 gr. about 3 cups of diced tofu and half-onion sauce-2 cups stale bread cut into cubes, or toast-2 tsp shoyu or 1 tablespoon red miso, dissolved in 1/2 cup water-1 cup of bread crumbs
Mix well the first four ingredients, and pour the mixture into a baking pan oiled; Let stand for 1 or 2 hours. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Sprinkle the mixture into the pan with the bread crumbs and cook for 20 or 30 minutes, until the surface is golden brown. Serve hot or cold.
