Beans and apples

For 2 people: 1 small onion, thinly sliced-.5 TSP turmeric-.5 TSP five spice mixture to-.5 teaspoon cinnamon-.5 TSP cumin-2 apples into small pieces-250 gr. cooked white beans-sugar-oil-salt-pepper
FRY in a large pan with the onion, cover when it is golden brown add the spices and cook for a few minutes, being careful not to burn.
Combine apples and sugar, a spoon, and leave to soften, stirring so that apples are flavored by spices.
When apples are soft add the beans with water, not much, enough to cover the bottom of the pot.
Season with salt and pepper, stir and simmer for ten minutes.
Very good accompanied by basmati or thai rice.
